No electricity, a mayor problem for students and documentation owners ( bambili).
Documentation owners and students in the university of bamenda plea to the government to bring forth a solution to the constant seizure of electricity.
Even though Cameroon is one of electricity supply to some central African countries, it is suprising to know that some parts of Cameroon are suffering from electricity failure . Talking to Mr Ndi Desmond a documentation owner he is disgruntled on the reluctancy if eneo officials and the government in stabilizing power supply in region. He plead on ebeo and the government to solve the problem of cutting electricity in the morning and bringing it back in the afternoon. This intend causes slow business rates even with the use of generators, business becomes more slower cause the prices of typing, printing and photo copies increase simultaneously thus very costly for students. Prices are then contemplated upon by students and documentation owners. Slowness in business because he is force to use generator to print and photocopy and at times students do not want to pay the prices but want to pay as if it is electricity.
According to Mrs Doh Joyce, a documentation owner this power failure has incurred a lot of damaged due to frequent power cuts unusual and low voltages a lot of printing machines and even computers because usually there is high and low voltage. To her, money that could be used to do other things are now used to repair the ones due to occurrent power outages , unusual high and low voltage. Mrs Doh says she has incurred a lot of loses and damaged on printing machines and computers . Money that was allocated for different purposes is now used for repairs constantly.
Talking to Ndansi confidence a year three student of HTTC ,she faced a lit of problems to study especially as they study online using phones or computers. Her major challenge with power failures is her study. With the outbreak of covid 19 pandemic, learning is done online with the use of phones and computers. Power cuts limit her participation on platforms like Google classroom , e-learning platforms created by schools. This method of education was created to ease learning but power failures have made it very difficult.she cries to the Cameroon government to kindly resolve this problem.
In conclusion ,they conclude that the government should look into the problem of electricity failure . They plead on the government to solve this problem because in a modern world nowadays it won't only be disadvantageous only to them but for the whole community because it is hard for people to live without electricity and also , the constant cuts
